Grab your lunch and join us on Thursday, Nov. 12 from 12-1pm for a virtual, interactive discussion with one of Holy Trinity’s global mission partners, Five Talents. Executive Director Dale Stanton-Hoyle and Program Manager Maria Owen will share how this ministry is helping to lift people out of poverty by teaching adult literacy, to start small businesses and to form savings groups. We’ll ‘travel’ to one of their most dynamic programs, Burundi, the poorest country in the world. Come hear how these women and men turn even the tiniest savings into growing businesses that are transforming their lives and their communities. Sign up, join us and learn how our financial support of Five Talents Burundi is making a difference! A link to the Zoom lunch and learn will be sent to you the morning of Nov. 12.
Dale Stanton-Hoyle has been involved in international development for over 30 years. With a background in management and mechanical engineering, his work has focused on energy efficiency and water management in some of the world’s least-developed countries. Following five years of mission work with hospitals and schools in the Congo, Dale has remained committed to helping communities develop and use their resources for good. He joined Five Talents in 2017 as the executive director.
Maria Owen, Five Talents’ program manager, joined Five Talents in 2015 shortly after her family moved to the USA from Kenya. She has worked in international development for over 15 years with a commitment to serving vulnerable communities as they grow in restoring their dignity. Maria has had an opportunity to live in and work with various non-profit organizations throughout much of eastern and southern Africa including Ethiopia, Kenya, Tanzania, D.R. Congo, South Sudan, Uganda, and South Africa.
