The Gift of Limitations – An Evening with Sara Hagerty

November 13, 2024 | 7:00pm | Holy Trinity Anglican Sanctuary

Join us for an evening with Christian author and speaker, Sara Hagerty! She will share how she finds God’s beauty and bounty in restrained living, which is the focus of her latest book: The Gift of Limitations: Finding Beauty in Your Boundaries (March 2024, Zondervan).

As a writer, speaker, and homeschooling mother of seven, Sara knows the sting of limitations. Yet she has also seen how the boundaries of her life circumstances brought about growth and satisfaction she’d never experience otherwise. In the book, Sara invites readers inside her own struggles, and the peace she eventually found, in living within God’s designed “fence” of limitation.

“What if your greatest weaknesses–the areas of your life you resent the most, the places where you feel the most overextended and unfulfilled–are your doorway to rich intimacy with God? What if your limitations were, in fact, your greatest gift?” asks Hagerty.

Come hear how Sara has seen a blessing in these boundaries: “A heart settling into peace with its limitations is one that has found genuine trust in God.” We look forward to seeing you there!

About Sara Hagerty

Sara Hagerty is a bestselling author and Jesus follower. She has written four books, including her most recent release, The Gift of Limitations: Finding Beauty in Your Boundaries (March 2024). Despite laundry baskets overflowing and unending “to do” lists, Sara still squeezes in her early morning runs, walks through the woods next to her house with the children of hers still little enough to collect acorns, and reading pages and paragraphs of books in the middle minutes. She lives in Missouri with her husband Nate and seven children. You can learn more about Sara and her other books on her website: www.SaraHagerty.net and on Instagram: @SaraHagertyWrites.

RELYING ON THE LORD IN A CAREGIVING SEASON

Being a caretaker can be a demanding job, sometimes with little acknowledgement of the sacrifice and heartache that come with it. It’s a role that can force you to trust God more than ever. During this Sharing Life gathering, we will hear from three panelists – Rennie Manning, Ann Weaver, and Sarah O’Dea – who will share their stories of faith as caregivers for a special needs child, terminally ill children, a spouse with dementia, and aging parents. Women of the Word (WOW) Bible Study

WOW is a Bible study ministry for women of all ages, both members and non-members. The study is held during the months of September through April and one or two books of the Bible are studied following a specific curriculum. The study includes talks given by the teaching leaders and small group discussion. Several socials are planned during the year.

2024-2025 WOW Bible Study

Wednesdays, 9:45am-11:30am at Holy Trinity Anglican Church

Wednesdays, 7:00pm-8:30pm at Holy Trinity Anglican Church

Thursdays, 6:45am-7:30am on ZOOM

This coming fall, join WOW to study the book of Isaiah. Tim Chester, the author of the study guide for Isaiah wrote, “Isaiah will enlarge your view of God, enrich your love for Christ and sharpen your understanding of salvation. It will provide you with what Isaiah promises in 33:6, a sure foundation for our times.”

Have you ever wondered about heaven? If so, in January WOW will use Andy Telfer’s study guide to learn what Scripture reveals to us about heaven.

WOW will wrap up the year with the study of James. Sam Allberry, describes James in his study guide, “James shows us how to think about everything from poverty and wealth to planning and prayer. He shows us what our hearts and tongues are really like. But more than that, he shows us what our great God is like, and how all we do flows from who he is.”

Childcare for children five years old and younger is available during the Wednesday morning session.

If you have any questions or are interested in joining WOW, please email Sarah Krivsky at skrivsky@htcraleigh.org.
