John's Bio

John W. Yates III became rector of Holy Trinity in September 2010. Having grown up in N. Virginia, he attended the University of Virginia before moving to London, England, where he served as Study Assistant to the well-known Anglican theologian, John Stott, from 1996-1999. John went on to earn an MA in Theology from King’s College, London, an MDiv. from Trinity School for Ministry, Ambridge, PA, and a PhD in New Testament from Cambridge University, England.

John was ordained to the priesthood in March 2004. He first served as Assistant to the Dean of the Chapel at Clare College, Cambridge, from 2004 to 2006. He then served as Clergy Associate for Adult Discipleship at Church of the Good Samaritan, Paoli, PA, from 2007 to 2010.

John is married to Alysia and they have four children: Sylvia, Isabel, Jack and Alexander.

Caleb's Bio

Caleb joined the Holy Trinity staff in 2017 and currently serves as the Clergy Associate for Family Ministry.

Prior to his call to Holy Trinity, Caleb served on staff at The Falls Church Anglican for five years in roles ranging from study assistant to the Rev. Dr. John Yates II to serving as the preschool and elementary manager within the children’s ministry. He graduated summa cum laude from Wheaton College in 2013, double majoring in Biblical & Theological Studies and Christian Education. He obtained his master’s degree from Trinity Episcopal School for Ministry in 2017.

Caleb is married to Paige, and they have three daughters—Halle, Garner and Quinn. Caleb spends his time wrangling (and being wrangled by!) his children. He roasts his own coffee, has run a few marathons and has visited every continent other than Antarctica.

Claudia grew up in Detroit, went to college in Boston and after moving to New York City, she heard the good news of the Gospel and turned in faith to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. She attended the Yale Divinity School in New Haven, Connecticut, graduating in 1987, and was ordained the following year to the priesthood. In 1994, she married the Rev. Dr. Gil Greggs and moved to North Carolina, finding at last her true home.

Claudia served in a number of churches before joining the staff of Holy Trinity Anglican in 2014. Helping people find abundant life in Jesus Christ is her passion in ministry. She and Gil have two children, Caleb and Emily, a son-in-law, Andrew and a grandson, Alex.

Jason's Bio

Jason was born and grew up in America and, after high school, moved to South Africa. He completed seminary in Cape Town at George Whitefield College and was ordained for ministry into the Church of England in South Africa (now known as REACH-SA).

Over the years Jason has served in local churches in South Africa and the UK. Most recently Jason and his wife Jeanine were involved in planting and growing Southern Cross Church, where he served as rector for 11 years.

Jason has a heart for God, people and Scripture. He loves to see relationships established and transformed through God’s Word and engage with people who don’t yet follow Jesus. He enjoys all things outdoors with his family, including mountain biking, surfing and going for a run with his wife, followed by some good food.

Jason and Jeanine have three children, Keira, Ethan and Tyler, and together they enjoy all kinds of adventures and having people in their home!

Anne's Bio

Anne grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from Duke University in 1987 with a degree in economics. She worked as a commercial banker and bank product manager for several years and joined the church staff in 2006. She and her husband, Stuart, have called Raleigh their home for 22 years and have two daughters, Lindsay and Grace. She enjoys balancing her work at Holy Trinity Anglican with family responsibilities. In addition, she loves playing tennis and swimming.

Tripp's Bio

Tripp is from Burlington, NC and a graduate from UNC Chapel Hill in 2015 with a degree in History and Religious Studies. Following graduation he served for 8 years with a campus ministry (Campus Outreach Charlotte), where he served at UNC-Chapel Hill, and oversaw Mobilization and Staff Development Director for the region. Tripp is a recent graduate of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary (MDiv, ’22), and became an ordained minister in 2023!

Tripp is passionate about equipping people to do the work of ministry and engage the culture around them. To see lives transformed by the gospel, people love God’s word, and the nations reach for Christ. Tripp is married to Allie, and they love all things Tar Heels, Hurricanes, travelling, and hanging out with their dog Beren!

Jessica's Bio

Jessica grew up in Orlando, Florida and graduated from the University of Central Florida with a degree in Music Education (vocal emphasis) and from Florida State University with a master’s degree in Music Therapy. She has worked with children for over 20 years in classroom, clinical, theater, and private music lesson settings. Jessica has a passion for every child at Holy Trinity to feel and be seen as an integral part of the Body of Christ. She is also passionate about special needs ministry.

Jessica is married to Mike and has one daughter, Willow, and a loveable dog. She enjoys spending time with family (including their dog!), time at the beach, or bird watching.

Matt's Bio

Matt grew up in Fairfax, VA and attended George Mason University where he majored in international relations. After college, he served as the associate youth pastor at Truro Anglican Church and as the director of youth ministry at Church of the Outer Banks. He is currently pursuing a master’s degree from Asbury Theological Seminary.

Matt has a passion for youth ministry and is excited to see how God is going to work in the lives of students and their families at Holy Trinity. In his free time, Matt enjoys hiking, fishing, playing guitar and walking his dog Luna.

Jake grew up in Fairfax, VA and graduated from George Mason University in 2015 with a degree in communications. He previously worked for The C.S. Lewis Institute as a Technical Administrator for several years before moving to Raleigh with his wife, Katie, in 2021.

Jake is passionate about supporting the church body through technical skills and gifting. In his spare time he enjoys cooking, watching and discussing films, and listening to audio books and podcasts.

Paul's Bio

Paul grew up in suburban Washington, D.C., but has lived most of his adult life in St. Louis and Kansas City. He has performance degrees in music from Oberlin College and Washington University (St. Louis), and has spent a year in Amsterdam studying harpsichord performance under a Fulbright grant. Paul has served in church music ministry for over 30 years. He is married to Cynthia, also an accomplished musician, and they have two grown daughters, Robin and Consie.

Sheri's Bio

Originally from Silver Spring, Maryland, Sheri has always considered North Carolina her second home. Sheri graduated from Campbell College, received an M.Ed. from UNC-Chapel Hill and was a guidance counselor for the Burlington City Schools. Moving back to the D.C. area, Sheri worked in the U.S. House and Senate and in the Ford and Reagan White Houses. In the private sector, she was a lobbyist, a traveling assistant to Anne Graham Lotz and executive assistant to the Dean of Washington National Cathedral. Sheri was a member of the Falls Church Anglican before moving back to her second home and now works supporting Anne Thompson.

Sheri's Bio
Sarah grew up in Raleigh, NC and graduated from The College at Southeastern in Wake Forest, NC following some time spent in Kenya, Africa as a missionary. She graduated with a double major in Justice & Social Ethics and Christian Counseling. Sarah previously worked as a Director of Operations for one of the fastest growing churches in America.
In her free time she enjoys spending time with her husband, Andrew, and her two boys, Levi & Jack. You can often find her enjoying coffee, reading, playing with her kids at a park, or taking a trip to Topsail Beach!

Daniel's Bio

Daniel directs the New City Fellows program and teaches on its faculty. Previously, he served as Program Coordinator of the Center and as Local Outreach Coordinator. He has worked at the Summit Church’s Summit Institute and Small Groups ministry, developing and teaching programs on discipleship, small groups, biblical studies, and faith-and-work theology. He is from New York, where he helped plant Maranatha Grace Church and preached, taught, directed music, and oversaw operations on its staff. Prior to that, he worked in the legal field and attended Redeemer Presbyterian Church. Daniel has a master’s degree in theology from Westminster Theological Seminary and a bachelor’s degree in political science from Stony Brook University. He is married to Crystal Chen Lee, and together they enjoy practicing hospitality and traveling, and are passionate about faith-and-work ministry and biblical justice.

Sarah's Bio

Sarah grew up in Raleigh and graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a degree in political science and a minor in English. She began her communications career in New York and evolved into a marketing leader within the tech industry and for a direct-to-consumer brand once she returned to Raleigh.

After stepping back from the corporate world to take care of her family, Sarah found a home at Holy Trinity. She is thrilled to be in a position to use her communications experience to glorify God.

She and her husband, Tod, have two daughters, Darden and Harriet. Having roots and extended family in Morehead City, Sarah and her family are the happiest at the beach.

Rachel Sanders

Rachel's Bio

Rachel holds a Bachelor of Music in Music Education from Furman University in Greenville, SC, where she specialized in vocal/choral music as a performer and a director. Since she was very young, Rachel has known her calling to glorify God through the arts as an instrument of discipleship and evangelism. She served as a theater/choral director and music teacher for NC public schools for over six years and is an alumna of the New City Fellows Program, class of 2021. Prior to entering public education, Rachel ran her own private voice studio, served as a theater director at Artios Academies, taught with The South Carolina Children’s Theater, sang as a mezzo-soprano with Rivertree Singers and acted professionally with The Logos Theatre and the Applied Theater Center in Greenville, SC.

Rachel is thrilled to be in full-time ministry serving children, families and volunteers at Holy Trinity and seeing our church family grow more deeply in their walks with the Lord. In her spare time, she acts and sings in productions with Poiema Artistry.

HOLY TRINITY ANGLICAN VESTRY

The Vestry is made up of 12 men and women who are the elected, lay leaders of our church. They work in close partnership with the Rector and staff to guide Holy Trinity Anglican. The senior officers of the vestry are the Warden and Jr. Warden. The Clerk maintains our minutes and records. Our Vestry Counsel and Treasurer are appointed by the Vestry.
