LET’S STEP UP TO SERVE CREATIVELY THIS CHRISTMAS
It All Starts Now Through Dec.12 for the Whole Family!
Challenges abound for many in our community – especially at Christmas time – which is why we want to invite our church body to step up creatively to support two of our local mission partners in Jesus’ name.
Consider serving parents who are purchasing gifts for their children at The Encouraging Place Pride for Parents Christmas Store. Or donate toys for the Christmas Store! Others in our city are moving from homelessness to long-term stability through the Raleigh Rescue Mission New Life Plan. What an accomplishment to be celebrated! You can help them settle in by providing for their basic needs. It will mean so much. Here’s how you and your family can step up to creatively serve our partners in their efforts:
- Let’s give by Dec. 5!
- Drop off your unwrapped toy(s) for The Encouraging Place Christmas Store, and basic necessities and Christmas cards for a Raleigh Rescue Mission client under the arches at the church courtyard entrance or have them delivered to Trinity House by Dec. 5. For ideas, check the full wish list. Note: please leave the price tags on toys.
- Let’s serve in person!
- Kids, students and adults are encouraged to make Christmas cards for Raleigh Rescue Mission clients. Just drop them off at the church along with any other items you are donating.
- Students are sorting and packing donated gifts and supplies on Sunday, Dec. 6, 5pm at the church. Contact Matt Desmarais for more information
- Adults can volunteer at The Encouraging Place Christmas Store on Dec. 4-5 and 11-12. Contact Daniel Lee to sign up.
Thank you for considering how you can share the love of Christ this Christmas.
