Sermon Series: Built Up and Sent Out

The book of Acts tells the story of the first Christians — built up in Jesus Christ and sent out by the Spirit. What begins as the eyewitness accounts of a few ordinary Jewish fisherman, launches into a movement that changed the world. Thousands of years later the book still compels us to ask: what gave them courage, purpose, and unity? What about their message changed the course of history? And ultimately, what relevance does this have for us today?

Join us this summer as we engage with the first nine chapters of Acts as we see how these chapters shape the foundational character of the Christian identity, as the church is both: built up and sent out.

  • JUNE 15 @ 5:30PM: Acts 2:42-47
  • JUNE 22: Acts 3-4
  • JUNE 29: Acts 4:32-5:16
  • JULY 6: Acts 5:17-42
  • JULY 13: Acts 6:1-7
  • JULY 20: Acts 6:8-8:3
  • JULY 27: Acts 8:4-25
  • AUGUST 3: Acts 8:26-40
  • AUGUST 10: Acts 9:1-31

RECENT SERMONS AND TALKS

Rev. Claudia Greggs - August 22, 2021

This Is My Story: Steve and Jamison Whitley

From Series: "This Is My Story: Testimonies of Hope and Transformation"

How has Jesus changed your life? That’s a big question! Each one of us could tell a different story of hope and transformation. As the summer comes to an end, we are going to hear some of those stories from people in our community, replacing the sermon each week with interviews that testify to God’s work in our lives. Come and hear how God has shaped the lives of people around you and be encouraged by his grace!
