The Center for Public Christianity is hosting a lunch gathering on “The Rise of China,” Wednesday April 6, 2022, at Holy Trinity Anglican Church.
How should Christians in the West think about the rise of China as a world power? How can we make sense of the geopolitical, religious/worldview, and cultural implications of this tectonic shift in the global balance of power?
Join us for a brown bag lunch gathering featuring a lecture and Q&A with the Very Revd. Dr. Christopher Hancock, as he speaks to such questions. Space is limited; RSVP quickly to reserve your seat.

About the Very Revd. Dr. Christopher Hancock
Dr. Hancock is founding director of Oxford House Research Ltd., an international consultancy to governments, corporations, and NGOs in areas of religion, social transformation, and contemporary geo-politics. Historically a theologian, who taught at Cambridge and in the USA, his work has focused in the last twenty years on culture, ethics, and religion in contemporary geopolitics. As an Asia specialist, he was Dean of Bradford Cathedral and helped launch the new China Centre at King’s College, London. Having taught around the world and published across a wide range of disciplines, he is currently a Visiting Professor at St. Mary’s University, London. His book Christianity and Confucianism: Culture, Faith and Politics was published by Bloomsbury in December 2020.
