Day of Prayer and Fasting

Please join us for a day of prayer and fasting on Nov. 2 before local, state and national elections. Sign up for one of the ten slots in each 30-minute segment (6am-6pm) and then download the Prayer Vigil Guide to use in your time of prayer. Our goal for this time is to lift up in prayer before the Lord, as with one voice, these issues, which concern us all:

1. An accurate election process, timely results and a gracious acceptance of the results by all who participate in the process
2. Peace and reconciliation, along the lines of politics and race, in our country
3. An end to the Coronavirus pandemic
4. An effective witness by us as a congregation to our city and beyond

We’ve designed the prayer guide with five specific topics (Supplications) that incorporate the four concerns above. Each topic includes composed prayers (collects), bidding sentences (for extemporaneous prayer) and Scripture readings pertaining to each prayer topic for reflection and inspiration for further prayer.
