During our 60+ years, we have seen God’s faithfulness in the best of times and the hardest of times. He has used all of them to shape and transform us into people of hope and courage – from singleness, marriage and parenting to a career inside or outside the home, health issues and loss. And now, we have the wonderful, unique opportunity to make new friends, to be a listening ear and to walk alongside them with wisdom and the love of Christ as they go through seasons of life similar to the ones we have had. Welcome to mentoring!

Dr. Gil Greggs will lead us in a time of teaching and discussion, Embodied Wisdom: The Importance of Mentoring in Christian Community, to help us understand what mentoring is and isn’t, what we have to offer others and why mentoring is so valuable, particularly in this stage of our lives. You’ll also hear from two parishioners, a mentor and a mentee, about their experiences and the rich blessings they received. For those wanting to take the next step to mentor, we will offer an in-depth training workshop on March 29.*
