SUMMER SERMON SERIES

June 2-July 28: Summer Worship Services @ 10am & 5:30pm

Exodus: The Story of God

Everyone knows that Exodus tells the story of Moses, and how he saves the people of Israel from slavery in Egypt. Right? Not exactly. Of course, Moses has a major role to play. So does Pharaoh. But the central figure in the story of Exodus is God. It is the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob who calls Moses, who controls the action, changes people’s hearts, saves Israel, and reveals his character along the way. Join us in June and July as we listen to the story of God in Exodus and learn to let him shape our stories today.

  • June 2 – Exodus 1:1-2:10
  • June 9 – Exodus 2:23-3:15
  • June 16 – Exodus 5:1-6:1
  • June 23 – Exodus 7:1-24
  • June 30 – Exodus 12:1-14; 28-32
  • July 7 – Exodus 13:17-14:4
  • July 14 – Exodus 15:1-18
  • July 21 – Exodus 16:1-21
  • July 28 – Exodus 19:1-20

Sermon: Inspecting Jesus

Scripture References: Hebrews 1:1-4

From Series: "Consider Jesus: The Letter to the Hebrews"

The letter to the Hebrews is different. We don’t know who wrote it, and there is nothing else quite like it in the New Testament. No other letter holds Jesus up to such close inspection nor reveals such profound insight into his power and glory. The whole letter is an invitation to consider Jesus: to consider who he is, what he has accomplished, and what he has to do with our lives today. As it turns out, who he is has everything to do with how we live today. In fact, our world makes sense only when we stop to consider Jesus.
