Sermon Series: Jesus in His Own Words

Critics and scholars have written countless words about Jesus, making claims for who he is and what he accomplished. But what does Jesus have to say about himself? On seven different occasions in John’s gospel Jesus makes a stunning claim about himself, each one prefaced with the simple statement: “I am.” This spring we will explore these statements and the rich truths they reveal about him. Join us as we hear from Jesus in his own words.

We live in a culture that can feel at odds with our faith—but that’s nothing new. The letter to Titus speaks into a similar world, offering a powerful vision: we’re not meant to just survive our environment, but be transformed within it. In this series, The God Who…, we explore how the grace of Jesus Christ creates a new humanity. The same grace that redeemed us empowers us today. By keeping the Gospel central, we become a people who reflect God’s character to the world. Join us as we discover a life that is both practical and eternal, shaping everyday moments with lasting impact, as we respond to the grace of God and are equipped for every good work.

From Series: "We Believe: Back to Basics with the Nicene Creed"

If you want to become good at a sport or excel at a craft, you must master the basics. Even as you advance it’s important to keep going back to the basics to keep you sharp. The same is true of our Christian faith. That’s why, every week in worship we go back to basics when we say the Creeds. They’re basic, but there is nothing simple about the truths they tell us. Here we learn about the being and unity of God in three-persons, we are reminded of the hope of resurrection, and we are instructed on the nature of the Church. There is a lot to take in! This fall we will spend 7 weeks going back to basics as we explore what the Nicene Creed teaches, why it matters, and how it shapes our lives.
