John's Bio

John W. Yates III became rector of Holy Trinity in September 2010. Having grown up in N. Virginia, he attended the University of Virginia before moving to London, England, where he served as Study Assistant to the well-known Anglican theologian, John Stott, from 1996-1999. John went on to earn an MA in Theology from King’s College, London, an MDiv. from Trinity School for Ministry, Ambridge, PA, and a PhD in New Testament from Cambridge University, England.

John was ordained to the priesthood in March 2004. He first served as Assistant to the Dean of the Chapel at Clare College, Cambridge, from 2004 to 2006. He then served as Clergy Associate for Adult Discipleship at Church of the Good Samaritan, Paoli, PA, from 2007 to 2010.

John is married to Alysia and they have four children: Sylvia, Isabel, Jack and Alexander.

Claudia's Bio

Claudia grew up in Detroit, went to college in Boston and after moving to New York City, she heard the good news of the Gospel and turned in faith to Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord. She attended the Yale Divinity School in New Haven, Connecticut, graduating in 1987, and was ordained the following year to the priesthood. In 1994, she married the Rev. Dr. Gil Greggs and moved to North Carolina, finding at last her true home.

Claudia served in a number of churches before joining the staff of Holy Trinity Anglican in 2014. Helping people find abundant life in Jesus Christ is her passion in ministry. She and Gil have two children, Caleb and Emily, a son-in-law, Andrew and a grandson, Alex.

Wright's Bio

An “Army brat,” Wright has lived all over the world. He was formed as a believer by the Navigators at West Point. He served as a combat engineer with a tour in Somalia. He earned an MBA from the University of South Carolina and spent a decade in business with Accenture and Hughes Supply. In 2009, he received an MDiv. from Gordon Conwell. As a pastor, he served at the Falls Church Anglican and led a team to plant All Nations D.C.

Wright is passionate to see others come to deeper relationships with Jesus. He oversees Alpha, Community Groups, Trinity Men and Welcome ministries. He is a grateful husband to Beth and proud father to Chris, Ellie, Davis and Annie.

Caleb's Bio

Caleb attended Wheaton College where he double majored in Biblical & Theological Studies and Christian Education. After college, he moved to Washington, D.C. to serve at the Falls Church Anglican and was on staff in a variety of capacities for four years while pursuing a Masters degree from Trinity School for Ministry.

Caleb now spends his free time reading classic fiction over a good cup of artisan coffee, trading currency on the Foreign Exchange and travel hacking, all alongside his wife, Paige. He is thrilled to serve at Holy Trinity Anglican as the Clergy Associate for Student Ministries and looks forward to seeing young people understanding more fully how totally loved, accepted and free they are in Jesus!

Izzy's Bio

Izabella (Izzy) was born and raised in Fairfax, VA. She landed in Raleigh in 2014 and attended the NC State Design School (Go Pack!). She loves to make things more beautiful and was very involved in Raleigh YoungLife as a Wyldlife leader at St. David’s School from 2015-2018. Her experience with Wyldlife has given her the ability and desire to continue ministering to middle and high school aged girls.

She has a passion for Jesus and wanting others to know Him. She also has a deep love for the Anglican church, being the granddaughter of an Anglican bishop and the daughter of an Anglican priest. In her free time, she enjoys photography, visiting the NCMA and hanging out with friends.

Josh's Bio

Josh was the founding director of the Center for Apologetics and Cultural Engagement at Liberty University, and Associate Professor of Theology and Apologetics. Prior to his work at Liberty, Josh served as a pastor at Baptist churches in Virginia and Georgia, and completed a PhD in Biblical Studies at Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest. Josh is the author of Apologetics at the Cross (Zondervan). In addition to directing New City Fellows, Josh teaches Foundations, preaches regularly and continues in his ministry of writing. Josh and his wife, Tracy, have two children: Addison and Hudson.

Daniel's Bio

Daniel grew up the son of a church-planter in New York City, attended Stony Brook University, and worked in the legal field in Manhattan, where he attended Redeemer Presbyterian Church where Tim Keller was Sr. Pastor. Captivated by Redeemer’s vision for church planting and ministering in cities, he helped plant Maranatha Grace Church in New Jersey while obtaining a Master of Arts in Religion at Westminster Theological Seminary. He is an alum of New City Fellows (class of 2018), and is excited to be able to serve and be a part of God’s work in Raleigh through the program.

Sam's Bio

Sam graduated from Mercer University with degrees in finance and philosophy. Prior to pursuing a call to full-time Christian ministry, Sam was a management consultant at Deloitte where he specialized in supporting the strategy and operations needs of his clients. In 2017, Sam and his wife, Lorin, gave up their corporate careers to pursue God’s call: to protect, equip and grow the Body of Christ. Currently, Sam is pursuing ordination, finishing a degree in theology at Duke and supporting the young adult ministry at Holy Trinity Anglican. Sam is blessed to be Lorin’s husband and Henry and Amelia’s father.

Robin's Bio

Robin grew up in St. Louis, received her undergraduate degree in Liberal Arts & Culture from New St. Andrews College (Moscow, Idaho), and went on to get a Master of Music Education in Choral Pedagogy (2012) from Kansas University. Through her interactions with children in the context of music education, she developed a great love for working with children. She moved to Raleigh in 2009 and was hired by Holy Trinity to be the Children’s Director in 2012. Robin has a deep commitment to loving and equipping children for ministry and for giving the body of Christ a vision for honoring (Matthew 19:14), nurturing (Proverbs 22:6) and imitating children (Mark 10:15) in their spiritual walk.

Paul's Bio

Paul grew up in suburban Washington, D.C., but has lived most of his adult life in St. Louis and Kansas City. He has performance degrees in music from Oberlin College and Washington University (St. Louis), and has spent a year in Amsterdam studying harpsichord performance under a Fulbright grant. Paul has served in church music ministry for over 30 years. He is married to Cynthia, also an accomplished musician, and they have two grown daughters, Robin and Consie.

Joe's Bio

Joe has led music and liturgy in a variety of church settings for over a decade. He enjoys leading God’s people in praise by means of the breadth of the Church’s musical traditions and the depth of its liturgical heritage. Ordained in the Anglican Church, he also serves as Associate Director of the Anglican Episcopal House of Studies at Duke and previously served as Associate Rector of Christ Church in Mt. Pleasant, SC. He is a graduate of Duke Divinity School and Moody Bible Institute, where he minored in music. He is married to Christina Carnes Ananias, and they have a son named Samuel.

Paul's Bio

Paul is a longtime member of Holy Trinity. He has been helping the church enhance its operations, procedures and governance. His experience includes eight years at PricewaterhouseCoopers and several stints as a CFO, including a corporate turnaround. He and his wife, Sallie, met at UNC-Chapel Hill and have three adult sons who spent their formative years at Holy Trinity Anglican.

Susan's Bio

Originally from New Jersey, Susan received a bachelor’s degree from Susquehanna University and an MA from Bucknell. Susan and her husband, John, were founding members of Holy Trinity Anglican Church. She was called to her position at the church in July 2005. The Finches live in Raleigh and have four grown sons and two adorable grandchildren.

Anne's Bio

Anne grew up in St. Louis, Missouri and graduated from Duke University in 1987 with a degree in economics. She worked as a commercial banker and bank product manager for several years and joined the church staff in 2006. She and her husband, Stuart, have called Raleigh their home for 22 years and have two daughters, Lindsay and Grace. She enjoys balancing her part-time work at Holy Trinity Anglican with family responsibilities. In addition, she loves playing tennis and swimming.

Born in Corpus Christi, Texas, Susan was the daughter of a career Naval officer and moved 10 times before graduating from high school. A great life! She received a B.A. in French from Florida State University. She taught French for seven years before making a move into the semiconductor industry where she found her niche in marketing communications. She has worked for a number of different organizations, including the Association of International Certified Professional Accountants in Durham, where she served as Associate Director of Brand and Creative Solutions. She loves calling Raleigh home and being a part of this church.

Sheri's Bio

Originally from Silver Spring, Maryland, Sheri has always considered North Carolina her second home. Sheri graduated from Campbell College, received an M.Ed. from UNC-Chapel Hill and was a guidance counselor for the Burlington City Schools. Moving back to the D.C. area, Sheri worked in the U.S. House and Senate and in the Ford and Reagan White Houses. In the private sector, she was a lobbyist, a traveling assistant to Anne Graham Lotz and executive assistant to the Dean of Washington National Cathedral. Sheri was a member of the Falls Church Anglican before moving back to her second home and now works part-time supporting Paul Winter and Anne Thompson.

Dwight's Bio

Dwight was born in Raleigh and has called North Carolina home all of his life. He started a cleaning company in 2012 and enjoys doing most of the hands-on work himself. Dwight also has a genuine love to assist others in obtaining employment as well as housing through two Raleigh-based organizations called Jobs for Life and Community Success Initiative.

Dwight and his wife, Cherita, are the parents of three adult children, Mario, Brian and Natasha, and are proud grandparents to Bryce and Mariya.

HOLY TRINITY ANGLICAN VESTRY

The Vestry is made up of 12 men and women who are the elected, lay leaders of our church. They work in close partnership with the Rector and Staff to guide the vision of Holy Trinity Anglican, establish and oversee our budget, and maintain our facilities. The senior officers of the vestry are the Warden and Jr. Warden. The Clerk maintains our minutes and records. Our Vestry Counsel and Treasurer are appointed to serve renewable one-year terms by the Vestry.
