Sermon Series: Built Up and Sent Out

The book of Acts tells the story of the first Christians — built up in Jesus Christ and sent out by the Spirit. What begins as the eyewitness accounts of a few ordinary Jewish fisherman, launches into a movement that changed the world. Thousands of years later the book still compels us to ask: what gave them courage, purpose, and unity? What about their message changed the course of history? And ultimately, what relevance does this have for us today?

Join us this summer as we engage with the first nine chapters of Acts as we see how these chapters shape the foundational character of the Christian identity, as the church is both: built up and sent out.

RECENT SERMONS AND TALKS

Rev. Tripp Gordon - February 9, 2025

Sermon: Job and the Unseen World

Scripture References: Job 1:1-22

From Series: "Unbreaking the Broken World"

Jesus did not come into this world only with words, he also came with works that vindicated those words. We often call those works miracles, but the New Testament call them signs. The Miracles of Jesus are signs of the nearness of the Kingdom of God, revealing the character, identity and mission of the powerful Son of God. The miracles of Jesus reveal a savior who does not abandon us to the chaos of this world, does not surrender us to the armies of Satan, and even rescues us from the seemingly invincible power of death. Although we may not always understand how Jesus is present amidst the chaos and pain of our lives, his miracles operate as signposts, reminding us of the King who brings with him a promise to unbreak our broken world.
