Sermon Series: Built Up and Sent Out

The book of Acts tells the story of the first Christians — built up in Jesus Christ and sent out by the Spirit. What begins as the eyewitness accounts of a few ordinary Jewish fisherman, launches into a movement that changed the world. Thousands of years later the book still compels us to ask: what gave them courage, purpose, and unity? What about their message changed the course of history? And ultimately, what relevance does this have for us today?

Join us this summer as we engage with the first nine chapters of Acts as we see how these chapters shape the foundational character of the Christian identity, as the church is both: built up and sent out.

From Series: "Surprised by Jesus"

God rarely speaks in an audible voice. But during the early days of Jesus’ ministry he did so twice. On both occasions his message was the same: “This is my Son.” It’s a shocking statement with astonishing implications that unfold in surprising ways in the opening chapters of the gospels. Join us this Epiphany season and let Jesus surprise you once again as we meet him in the early days of his ministry.
